J. Cole Surprise Fan Diagnosed With Rare Cancer

It’s a well-known fact the J. Cole is the man of the people, from being an outspoken supporter of Colin Kaepernick to even visiting inmates in San Quentin State Prison to speak with them.

On July 29th, a man by the name of Robert Griffin (no relation to the NFL player) sent out a tweet to Bas asking to help his son Colin meet Cole, as Colin was recently diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.

Two weeks later, the 13-year-old Colin got his wish.

“@JColeNC Dreamville truly is a family,” Robert Griffin tweeted. “They made my sons dream come true tonight. I will never be able to thank you all enough. Much Love!”

Colin has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer that “develop from connective tissues in the body, such as muscles, fat, bones, the linings of joints, or blood vessels.” A GoFundMe page has been set up in April, and is close to achieving its goal of $20,000.
